The PowerCAMPUS "Merge People ID" function in the Record Maintenance workflow can be used to clean up duplicate records, but how exactly does it work? What criteria do you use to determine whether a record is a duplicate? How do you choose which ID to "keep" and which to "merge"? What data is kept during a merge, and which is deleted? And when is manual data entry required to ensure that critical data survives? This session will share Harvard Divinity School's experience with the "merge people ID" function in PowerCAMPUS 7.21 and offer tips for merging records safely. Intended for functional or technical users who regularly perform people merges.
