Daniel J. Schoch spent most of his career at AT&T Corporation in information technology-related positions. Since 2002, he has worked in the Computing and Information Services department at The Principia, a school and college located in St Louis, Missouri and Elsah, Illinois. Dan is responsible for software development and technical support for Banner Finance, Financial Aid, and Accounts Receivable.

Description
Learning Oracle PL/SQL can be a daunting task, due both to the nature of the programming language, as well as its tight integration with the Oracle DBMS. This presentation will give the beginner and intermediate Oracle PL/SQL programmer basic fundamentals, techniques, and tips for coding good PL/SQL programs. Topics to be covered include PL/SQL resources, standards and conventions, data types, program structure, functions, procedures, packages, modularization, error handling, overloading, loops, program initialization, and program cleanup.
