The synergy between academics and special events at many institutions can be elusive. The core mission for any institution is academics, but during these economic times creating revenue by bringing on to campus events and conferences can cause a discord. The ability to bridge this gap is a struggle that can either unite a campus or create pandemonium. By utilizing the right technology to create the connections can not only provide stability in an institution's balancing act but also create collaboration in best utilizing campus space to its fullest. In this session we will examine the Banner - R25 Interface and how bringing academics and events together can create a full campus-wide picture. Also we will look at the next web technology, 25Live, in which professors can see real-time classroom data, students can view their schedule, service providers can get their workorders, and event planners can view actual space availability without disrupting the academic schedule.
