Description
Portland State University has developed a Banner Workflow (8.0.1) model using advanced HTML, JavaScript, and AJAX from within the custom activities to improve user-friendliness and make our Workflow even more efficient. We would like to share our knowledge on these topics by showing our audience how to implement features such as dynamically generated dropdown menus populated with real-time data, checkboxes, JavaScript form validation, and using AJAX for real-time data validation and searches within the custom activities. In addition to talking about the concepts, we will present a live demonstration of our workflow using these features, provide code samples to illustrate how they were implemented, and discuss problems we encountered during development. This presentation is targeted toward experienced functional users and technical staff involved in Workflow modeling.
