In an effort to "Go Green," reduce cost, and to make pledge payments easier, the Georgia Tech Foundation developed an electronic pledge reminder process.

This process sends out an email message to all active entities within a select audience who have an active pledge in Advance. We are on Advance 9.4.0.1. In the body of the email, we have embedded a dynamic link that carries the bio and pledge information to automatically populate an online giving form that is interfaced with our payment gateway. Upon clicking the link in the body of the email, we automatically populate the web form with the donor's bio information and pledge amount. This allows the donor to update their address, email, and/or phone number. Upon accepting or modifying the bio and pledge payment amount, the next form that appears is the payment gateway form where the donor enters their own credit card information. At this time, we also populate an Advance table to process the credit card gifts through gift loader, then into the gift ledger for final processing.

We also use this process with SmartCall 9.6 which allows the callers to send out an email message thanking the donor for their pledge.
