Description
Are you stymied when asked to provide or explain the research that supports differentiated curriculum and instruction? This session provides participants with a summary of the empirical evidence that DOES support differentiation. Because differentiation is actually a constellation of practices, such as flexible grouping, higher level questioning, advanced curriculum, and curriculum compacting, we break down differentiation into various components and explain the empirical support for them. Differentiation is an evidence-based practice, and educators need to know this information when advocating for appropriate curriculum and instruction for gifted learners.
