Description
Considerable discussion in the field of
international education has focused on
cultural, developmental, and linguistic
outcomes of study abroad. While once
considered the most important benefit of an
overseas opportunity, orientation programs
tend to focus almost exclusively on preparing
students for cultural differences rather than
academic differences. This panel will look
at how international educators can better
prepare students with the skills they need to be
