Description
Does the thought of having to "sell" your programs, services, and events leave you cold? Do you find marketing baffling, and think social media is a waste of time? It is time to reframe your thinking, and engage in "marketing therapy"! It is common to think your programs are so good and so needed, they just simply "sell" themselves. Many early childhood educators don't realize that they are always marketing, and that many great marketing techniques are similar to those used in marketing. Maybe it's time for a marketing intervention! You must use every tool at your disposal to tell people about your organization and services so they can use them. In fact, if you don’t market, you may not have employees, advocates, volunteers, funders, clients, or children and families to serve. It's time to learn what 21st century marketing and social media techniques can do to connect you to the people you need to serve. Join this session to conquer marketing-phobia with like-minded colleagues and a presenter who has used social media and marketing as an ECE program director, a national child care advocate, and in business. This session will help you reframe your perceptions of marketing and social media, and will provide an introduction to 21st Century marketing techniques that can be used for advocacy, program outreach, fundraising, staff recruitment, program enrollment, membership and fund development, family engagement and involvement, and event promotion. Use this session to kick-start your program's outreach and learn techniques that will help it flourish.
