Description
As Head Start/Early Head Start continues its expansion into family child care programs, recognizing the unique environment that exists to support families and children in family child care is sometimes difficult. This session will introduce ways that Head Start programs can identify potential providers, support both families and providers as they learn to navigate a new relationship, and improve the quality of care in communities to better serve both young children and family child care programs. It will introduce techniques that allow Head Start programs to develop strong collaborations with providers and will explore ways that family child care and Head Start can work together to strengthen the early childhood image in communities.
