Description
Often, students don't think of location as a factor in their job searches. About half of students say they will begin their job searches after graduating and moving back to their parents' home. Best-selling author Richard Florida asserts that place does matter in Who's Your City? How the Creative Economy is Making Where to Live the Most Important Decision of Your Life. Some thought leaders discount the importance of location, predicting that employers want the best talent and allow working remotely. What impact does location have on a student's employment status? Are students paying attention to research about location as instrumental to finding jobs in certain career clusters? Should career counselors initiate a discussion about geographic location in success and satisfaction?
