Description
When The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) investigated factors influencing graduate retention nine years ago, the inability to achieve a balance between work life and home life emerged as a major threat. This session draws on new research undertaken on behalf of AGR by Jane Sturges at Kings College London. The session will provide an understanding of what work-life balance means to young profesionals, why it matters to them, and what contributes to it. Explore the causes and consequences of poor work-life balance. We also examine what graduates can do to manage their own lives and how employers might help them (drawing on experience and best practice in the room).
