How do you market the need for diversity to a work force that assumes the acceptance of differences? What roles do career services and college recruiters play in preparing students for the real workplace? How do we educate for an understanding of the values of and lessons learned from AA/EEO (affirmative action and equal employment opportunity)? Review the historical context of AA and EEO policies and how they have set the stage for today's work force. Through small group discussions, operational definitions of diversity and inclusiveness will be developed. New ideas for marketing to and educating students about the need for diversity will be shared.
