Description
Discover which careers will offer the best prospects for today's college graduates. This presentation will feature the latest U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' (BLS) projections for the 2006-16 decade. It will focus on how changes in the population, technology, global competition, and business practices are expected to reshape tomorrow's job market and how those changes will affect education and training needs. Bright job prospects are expected to continue for college graduates, especially for those students who prepare for careers with lots of job openings. Knowing which occupations will offer the best prospects can help educators and counselors prepare their students for changing workforce trends. This presentation will include an update on the nature of the 21st century work force and the education requirements of many in-demand occupations.
