Technology is a wonderful opportunity and an agonizing challenge. The University Career Center (UCC) at the University of Kansas shares ideas to improve communications with stakeholders by employing technological tools. Using a customizable Web 2.0 tool, users are able to receive RSS feeds from the site. The UCC offers private areas for students that share similar career interests, social networking tools, directories, chats, messages boards, and blogs. UCC staff uses newsletter/e-mail marketing, content management, survey, and customer relationship management tools.
