Description
Examine the results of a survey of the employer and student uses of Facebook, a follow-up and comparison to a survey done in 2006 and presented at the 2007 NACE Annual Conference. The first study showed that almost all students used Facebook, but that most did not use the security settings. Have students gotten more careful in their use of Facebook since then? The first survey also found that a small percentage of employers used Facebook to learn more about candidates. Are more employers using it now? In the first study, very few employers had policies in regards to Facebook. Has this changed? What implications do these results have on how we advise and/or recruit students?
