Learning Objectives:
  1. State the outcomes of a lay health educator delivered adaptation of the Diabetes Prevention Program in senior centers across a rural state.
  2. Review methods of training lay health educators to deliver an evidence-based weight loss program in senior centers to older adults.
  3. Discuss the continuum of translational approaches used to move from initial discovery to widespread implementation
  4. Describe the components of the RE-AIM strategy for assessing translation interventions
  5. Explain the 24-month results of the HELP PD study.
  6. State the implications of successful community-based diabetes prevention programs.
