Learning Objectives:
- Review the history of lipoprotein (LPL) and fatty acid metabolism in the CNS.
- Describe the developing phenoytpe of obestiy in mice with neuron-specific deletions of LPL, and hypothesize how modification of lipid metabolism by neurons relates to energy balance, body weight regulation, and systemic carbohydrate metabolism.
