Description
You are the ultimate Harry Potter fan. You sign up on numerous fandom sites, post religiously to your favorite LJ community, read several informative news feeds, and listen to entertaining podcasts. So, super fan: how many Potter people do you know in your own hometown? Leaders of two "real-life" fandom groups, Erin Pyne of the Orlando Harry Potter Club and Andrea Piernock Barrish of Potterdelphia, explain the steps you can take to form your own thriving community. Begin your group's journey by gathering resources and establishing an online presence, then work on finding meeting space and recruiting new members. Soon after that you'll be hosting awesome Potter-themed events, full of lively debate, Hogwarts classes, magical games, wizard rock concerts, fan-fic open mic nights, and home-made magical crafts. Most importantly, you'll be building successful leadership skills while connecting with fans of all ages and creating last friendships.
