Susan M. Webb was born in Barcelona, Spain, where she qualified from Medical School in 1975, and completed her training at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital and in San Antonio, Texas. She is Consultant Endocrinologist in Hospital Sant Pau, and Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. She runs the Neuroendocrine Clinic, is the responsible for the Pituitary Disease network of excellence research group (CIBERER unit 747) and interested in the long-term consequences of having suffered pituitary diseases and evaluation of health-related quality of life in endocrine diseases. She is the coordinator of the European Registry on Cushing’s Syndrome (ERCUSYN project) funded by the European Union. She has been President of the Spanish Society for Endocrinology and Nutrition, Secretary of the European Neuroendocrine Association (ENEA), officer of the Executive Committee of EFES and has served on the editorial board of JCEM.
