Thierry Brue, MD, PhD, is Professor of Endocrinology at the Université de la Méditerranée (Marseille, France), and Endocrinologist at the Timone University Hospital where he currently serves as Head of Department and Medical Coordinator of the Rare Disease Reference Centre for Pituitary Deficiency (DEFHY). Prof. Brue’s main clinical interests are in Neuroendocrinology. His research activities include clinical research in pituitary disorders and coordination of a clinical research network on genetically determined pituitary hormone deficiency (GENHYPOPIT). His laboratory Research has dealt with pituitary adenomas in primary culture and the study of prolactin molecular forms, and now deals with molecular genetics of congenital pituitary hormone deficiency. Prof. Brue coauthored >100 peer-reviewed articles referenced in PUBMED; he is a member several Societies of Endocrinology (ESE, ESPE, ENEA, the Endocrine Society and the Pituitary Society, USA) and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.
