Description
Learning Objectives: The session is designed for surgeons, surgical residents and medical students. There is growing momentum across North America and most of the developed nations to build an educational system that yields not only a technically capable surgeon but a well-rounded human being. A physician that is committed to continued improvement of her/his skills and knowledge; someone who is capable of critical analysis of the data and of his/her practice, capable of identifying gaps in knowledge or performance and capable of finding appropriate ways to improve on them. Society expects today that a surgeon will be able to interpret the wishes of her/his patients. Moreover, the profession expects physicians to behave in a professional manner and that they are capable of working in high performing teams.

The CSF Live Learning Centre is supported by an educational grant from ETHICON and ETHICON ENDO-SURGERY, units of Johnson & Johnson Medical Products, a division of Johnson & Johnson Inc.
