Learning Objectives: The session is designed for all surgeons. The purpose of this session is to examine how we as surgeons evaluate the introduction of a new healthcare intervention into a community. At the end of the session, participants will be able to describe how the Uganda Sustainable Clubfoot Care Project introduced the Ponseti Method of treating the clubfoot into Uganda and the lessons learned; understand the challenges of evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of health care interventions; acknowledge that these evaluations are to be embraced if we are to provide better care for patients without overburdening the public purse.
The CSF Live Learning Centre is supported by an educational grant from ETHICON and ETHICON ENDO-SURGERY, units of Johnson & Johnson Medical Products, a division of Johnson & Johnson Inc.
