The faculty will be comprised of civilian and military surgeons who have worked in Canada’s military hospital in Kandahar. Fee includes continental breakfast and lunch.
Learning Objectives: At the end of the course, participants will be able to prepare and rehearse disaster plans including organization of security; explain mechanisms of injury from projectile, blast, chemical or biological attack; provide initial care in a mass casualty situation including damage control resuscitation and evacuation of casualties; undertake damage control surgery for abdominal, thoracic or head injuries and to initiate limb salvage procedures; organize post-trauma physical and psychological rehabilitation.
The CSF Live Learning Centre is supported by an educational grant from ETHICON and ETHICON ENDO-SURGERY, units of Johnson & Johnson Medical Products, a division of Johnson & Johnson Inc.
