Approaches to change often falter when great ideas are imposed on an unsuspecting stakeholder audience in ways that make them the objects of change rather than the agents of change. So it is with education. Successful and sustainable transformation of education is more likely to be achieved when it is designed through the active engagement of stakeholders. Technology has two major roles in this landscape. The first is as an instrument of stakeholder engagement. The second role is evident when the adoption and integration of technology in teaching and learning is the transformation in question.
