Description
Business continuity is the process of ensuring that all important operations, services, processes, and facilities continue to function in the event of a disaster. During the past few years schools have been made keenly aware of the potential for interruption of services whether due to disaster, pandemic, man-made events, or other potential crisis. This presentation will discuss the issues, identify preparations, personnel, and potential threats that schools need to identify, plan for, and communicate. Case studies from schools that have experienced disasters or crisis will be shared to help participants understand the importance of planning, preparation and practice. Participants of this presentation will learn about the resources available on the CoSN IT Crisis Preparedness website.
