Description
It is hard to recall a time when so many potentially game changing technologies have converged with such a tough set of economic and structural conditions. For three years the New Media Consortium (NMC) and CoSN have collaborated on a research project designed to help schools navigate these challenging times, convening experts from around the globe to come to consensus on what lies ahead. The project, supported by a grant from HP’s Office of Global Social Innovation, studies the technological horizon to make sense of the opportunities and challenges ahead in K-12 and beyond. In this session, learn what the 39 visionaries involved in this year’s discussions have been looking at, what they have found and what they see ahead for schools over the next five years. Learn about the accompanying Report Toolkit, developed by CoSN in partnership with NMC, which helps to facilitate conversations among education leaders around issues discussed in the Report. Hear how to use these free resources to help maximize the impact of the Report and help education stakeholders better understand new applications of technology and better plan for their successful implementation.
