Description
Energy use is the second largest expense, after personnel, incurred by a school district. Significant savings can be achieved through efficiencies implemented throughout the computing infrastructure and by using computers to reduce other energy use. Participants will learn strategies about designing “green” schools including Irving ISD’s “net zero” concept for a new school. Through efficiency technologies and on-site power generation, the use of renewable energies the building produces as much energy as it consumes.
