Description
In the Netherlands there are several new ICT-in-education projects in the K-12 education field. Though quite different from each other in objectives, organization, and realization, there are some similarities: they are all projects with the intention of increasing the use of small-sized but proven ICT-applications and they have all taken advantage of financial grants from government programs. Participants will learn about projects such as educational film materials for students with auditive handicaps, regional TV stations that help to teach students to make TV programs that are then broadcast via TV and the Internet, knowledge banks with more than 2,000 professional contributions for K-12 teachers in the form of theories, cases and checklists, an educational game about multimedia wisdom, learning environments for K-12 handicapped students, and more.
