As educational professionals we all come across “issues” daily that cause us to sit back, reflect, and question: “are we leveraging our resources effectively and efficiently?” In addition, we are under constant pressure to demonstrate to the public that we are good stewards of public resources. Technology provides the tools to demonstrate transparency and accountability, and assure the public that school districts are compliant with the plethora of rules and regulations. While compliance is mandatory, in order to target all resources in support of student learning we must demand a culture of innovation, and provide and support the resources needed from the top down allowing us to provide the transparency and accountability to our students, their parents, our teachers, and those in our community.
