Description
To meet the needs of building future technology-savvy leaders and to reduce costs for educating K-12 students, Lamar University in Beaumont, TX and Academic Partnerships have joined to create a unique, online graduate program in Educational Technology Leadership aimed at preparing K-12 teachers for technology facilitation and chief technology leadership roles in K-12 school districts throughout the country. This program focuses on the core ISTE Technology Facilitation and Leadership Standards paired with the CoSN Framework of Essential Skills for K-12 CTOs. During this session, participants will learn how the program’s candidates and graduates utilize cloud computing as an enhanced online learning experience by making communication, collaboration, and file sharing a simple process from anywhere with Internet access, ways that cloud computing tools enable a cost effective means for K-12 students to interact and creatively produce project-based activities, and glean noteworthy ideas meriting further investigation and possible implementation in personal work environments.
