The charge to truly personalize learning for all students is a goal that has been set by school districts across the country. Until recently however attempts to reach this goal have been overwhelmed by the hurdles to implementation including overtaxing staff resources logistics of managing and maintaining plan information and difficulty communicating plans to students and parents. Improvements in technology and the use of Web 2.0 has enabled one consortium of districts in Minnesota to overcome these hurdles. TIES a technology consortium of 39 districts has developed and begun to implement Personalized Learning through an innovative web-based software program.
