Description
Recent increases in complaints to the Office of Civil Rights has heightened awareness of the legal liabilities K12 institutions are under to provide equally effective access to the general curriculum for students with disabilities. Whereas inclusion has provided access to the general education classroom there is little evidence to indicate that students have been provided with access to the curriculum.. Audience members will gain insight into existing laws and to the considerations that need to be made when purchasing electronically-delivered instructional materials planning and designing school web sites and ensuring access to district management systems for employees with disabilities.
