Description
Communication is essential within any productive organization. That communication however cannot be haphazard;it must be by design not chance. Recognizing this eight years ago Greene County partnered with eChalk an onlineeducation network - the result being a communication system that is concise secure and collaborative. eChalk responded to our system goals and has successfully assisted us in bringing real world learning into the classroom while providing an easy way for parents to stay connected to their childrens education. Thus our teachers students and parents are able to avail themselves of numerous tools to boost student achievement parent involvement and student teacher-parent exchange. Greene County School system is also intent upon sustaining professional learning communities such that leaders and teachers are actively pursuing their own learning while creating a technology infused learning environment for our students. We are challenged with inculcating new staff members while still moving our total program forward. Pockets of innovation and success are no longer enough. All instructional personnel must become savvy users of technology for instruction. Consequently everything we do must be accomplished through the lens of 21st century applications. At the same time all instructional personnel must stay abreast of educational and world change. In Greene County eChalk serves as an important vehicle for educational change in the 21st century. Please join us and see the positive difference we are making in Greene County Schools as we eChalk.
