Session Description: Acceptance of social networking as a platform for educational activities continues to grow with many educational organizations considering or having launched their own networks. Both formal and informal "educational networking" is fast becoming a regular part of teacher professional development and even being used in some schools for classroom activity. We'll look at this trend with an eye toward understanding the value of "educational networking" for policy decisions then address the practical issues of platform choice and use encouragement once a network is in place.
