Description
This session will use KnowledgeWorks Foundation's 2020 Forecast: Creating the Future of Learning to help chief technology officers and others explore the future of learning along with ways of using information about future trends to support planning and facilitate change. The 2020 Forecast reveals how many of our fundamental relationships – with ourselves; within our organizations; and with systems societies and economies – are being fundamentally and systemically re-imagined and recreated. These changing relationships have tremendous implications for schooling and learning including changing expectations for learners and learning experiences; changing roles for teachers administrators and parents; and changing relationships among schools communities and service providers. The session will help participants explore the future of learning consider changes and challenges that they are facing in the context of wider patterns of change and begin considering what role they and technology might play in creating the future of learning.
