Description
While the discussion about moving away from static print content (read textbooks) to dynamic interactive multimedia is not new change is on the horizon. Although many schools are using digital content and electronic media has begun to enter adoption lists the digital transition has been slow. Over the last year however the tenor of the discussion has changed and the pace has quickened. California Texas Florida among others have launched major state-wide initiatives to allow more widespread adoption and use of digital content in the classroom. Come learn about the details of these initiatives from three state technology leaders who are deeply involved in making them work and stay to join our discussion of the pros and cons local reactions teacher support potential nationwide implications and the next steps for these states.
