Description
This session is designed to provide the pharmacist with key information and understanding regarding drugs used in the conduct of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures where "moderate sedation" is employed. Through participation in lecture, interactive discussion, and breakout groups, participants will gain a more complete appreciation of the goals and risks in the use of drugs commonly employed in "moderate sedation," and will be able to recognize patient-specific risk factors that may require modification in drug and dosing approaches.
