- State the risk factors for and the appropriate management of antithrombotic associated intracerebral hemorrhage.
- Discuss a risk assessment system for the use of venous thromboembolism (VTE) prophylaxis in ICU patients.
- Discuss pharmacotherapeutic strategies for VTE prevention which focus on the unique aspects of ICU.
- Identify the incidence of heparin-induced throbmocytopenia (HIT) in ICU patients.
- Discuss clinical pearls for the diagnosis and management of HIT in this patient population.
