LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Identify the types of non-traditional supply chain models being implemented by the pharmaceutical industry and understand the impact of each on pharmacy practice and financial performance.
- Describe the impact of the Prescription Drug Marketing Act (PDMA) on pharmacies, and the technologies implemented to reduce counterfeit medications in the drug supply.
- Explain the 2008 changes to Medicare reimbursement and identify operational changes required to implement these changes.
