  • Differentiate between signs and symptoms of pain, depression, and dementia in a complex geriatric patient.
  • Explain how to perform an assessment of a geriatric patient for depression, dementia, and pain.
  • List advantages, disadvantages, and usefulness of various assessment tools for pain, depression, and dementia in the geriatric patient.
  • Identify and resolve medication related problems for a geriatric patient with signs and symptoms of dementia, depression, and pain.
  • Develop a drug therapy plan for a patient with symptoms of depression, dementia, and pain using evidence-based medicine and minimizing drug-drug and drug-disease interactions.
