- Apply recent literature regarding the utility of biomarkers in septic shock to a patient case and describe their utility in antibiotic management.
- Describe the benefits of early appropriate antimicrobial therapy in patients with septic shock and the importance of sepsis bundles in their management.
- Given a patient case, describe hemodynamic goals and determine optimal fluid resuscitation and vasoactive agent selection during and after early goal-directed therapy.
