Description
Pharmacists routinely respond to resuscitations as part of a healthcare team in the acute care setting. These are usually high-stress situations where decisions are made rapidly and each member of the team plays an important role. In this session, faculty and participants will discuss common drug therapy issues during cardiac arrest, trauma and sepsis. Using an interactive approach, participants will be immersed in various high-stress situations.
- Evaluate the pharmacist's role during medical and traumatic emergencies.
- Interpret evidence to guide drug therapy selection during resuscitation.
- Recommend optimal drug therapy options during specific resuscitation scenarios.
