Description
Improving patient safety, even when the focus is on medication use, is a team effort. Roles and processes need to adapt to the emerging environment. You will leave with a clear picture of where you fit and should be focused within the health system as it relates to safety and quality as well as what we need to measure, to report, and to do about it.
- Examine the current and evolving roles and responsibilities of all members of the safety team, including pharmacists.
- Recommend metrics to add to a dashboard that can improve safety and quality.
- Utilize a tool kit to standardize a protocol to optimize clinical effectiveness outcomes and safety.
