Chad Barnett,

Chad M. Barnett, Pharm.D., BCOP, is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the Division of Pharmacy at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. His primary responsibilities include collaborating with the Breast Medical Oncology multidisciplinary team in the care of patients with breast cancer. In addition to his patient care responsibilities, Dr. Barnett is a preceptor for oncology pharmacy practice residents on the breast medical oncology rotation. Dr. Barnett also serves as clinical faculty for the Oncology Pharmacy Preparatory Review Course and is a clinical preceptor for students at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in Houston, Texas. He has authored numerous book chapters and articles and has presented nationally on topics related to breast cancer. Dr. Barnett is also actively involved in breast cancer research.
Dr. Barnett received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. He completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, and an Oncology Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Barnett became a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) in 2006.

Patrick J. Kiel, Pharm.D., BCPS, BCOP is a clinical pharmacy specialist at Indiana University (IU) Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy. Patrick completed his PGY1 residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and his PGY2 specialty residency in hematology/oncology at Indiana University Hospital. He provides clinical services in hematology and stem cell transplant at the IU Simon Cancer Center. He holds academic appointments to the Department of Medicine at the IU School of Medicine, Purdue University School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Butler University College of Pharmacy.
Patrick serves on the IU Institutional Review Board (IRB) and IU Cancer Center Scientific Review Committee. His current research involves the evaluation of novel chemotherapy agents in lymphoma models. He is published in peer-reviewed journals, and his research interests include novel drug therapy for aggressive lymphomas and leukemias as well as supportive care and graft versus-host disease following hematopoeitic cell transplantation.

Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Harding University in Searcy, AR. Obtained Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. Proceeded to complete a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency followed by a PGY-2 oncology specialty residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital in Birmingham, AL. From there, practiced 4 years in Atlanta, GA as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy. Thereafter, practiced in Houston, Texas 4 years as a clinical oncology pharmacist in the Department of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Recently moved to Mansfield, Texas and currently serve as the Clinical Coordinator for the Department of Pharmacy at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Mansfield, Texas.
Obtained board certification in oncology pharmacy practice in 2007. Serve as an active member of HOPA (Hematology/Oncology Pharmacists Association), TSHP (Texas Society of Health System Pharmacists) and ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) as an Allied Health member. Several peer reviewed articles accepted for publication which focus primarily on the toxicity associated with the use of chemotherapeutic agents as well as supportive care topics within the cancer population. Most recent collaboration as co-author of the colorectal cancer chapter in the 10th edition of Applied Therapeutics.
