Description
The 340B Program has experienced great change recently: new legislation, the growth of contract pharmacy relationships, and initiatives to audit 340B entities. This session will provide attendees an update on the direct impact of these changes, as well as guidance on how entities can improve 340B integrity. Updates will be presented from the Office of Pharmacy Affairs (OPA), the department responsible for administering the 340B Drug Pricing Program, as well as its contractors: the 340B Prime Vendor Program (PVP) and the Pharmacy Services Support Center (PSSC). In addition to receiving important program updates, attendees will learn how the focus on improved program integrity is impacting 340B audits, contract pharmacy, and manufacturers' issues.
- Describe the roles and priorities of HRSA's Office of Pharmacy Affairs and its two contractors in supporting new integrity initiatives.
- Explain the 340B audit process and strategies to prepare for an audit.
- Outline key compliance issues for contract pharmacy services, including ensuring program integrity when working with consultants and vendors.
