- Describe the development of a preceptor plan based upon input and program needs assessment.
- Describe tools and methods to incorporate effective precepting while meeting employment obligations (one-minute precepting).
- Identify characteristics, core values, and qualities necessary for effective precepting.
- Identify techniques to overcome the challenges in evaluating and providing feedback to your resident.
- Summarize what preceptors need to know and do to develop adequate precepting skills for tomorrow's generation of students and residents.
