Members of the SICP Section Advisory Group on Medication Safety will facilitate a participative dialogue on timely and relevant topics related to medication safety, such as  ensuring safety while handling drug shortages, medication safety dashboards and metrics, critical thinking by pharmacists during order review/verification, process for escalation of dangerous orders, analysis of medication errors, and automation issues (CPOE, smart pumps, automated med stations).

The agenda is very flexible and will be prioritized based upon audience top interests, current “hot topics”, and concerns related to medication safety. Members interested in hearing more about these topics are invited to participate in discussions and to share ideas with their peers.
