Donald Filibeck, National Director, Pharmacy Services,
Critical Care Systems
Dr. Filibeck received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees from the University of Michigan and his Master of Business Administration degree from Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio.
Dr. Filibeck serves as Critical Care Systems’ National Director, Pharmacy Services, providing clinical pharmacy support for all CCS branch locations. In his current role Dr. Filibeck, along with other resources in the clinical services department, is responsible for developing policies/procedures, clinical protocols, reviewing clinical services, branch operational audits and JCAHO preparation.
During his 18 years in the home infusion industry, he has held a number of different roles, ranging from branch pharmacy manager to regional infusion manager for a large, national infusion company.
Dr. Filibeck is also currently a surveyor for the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) in the Home Care program.
Dr. Filibeck currently services on the USP Sterile Products Expert Committee, for which he has been a member since 2000.
He has been very active in professional organizations including the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (having served as Chair of the Home Care Section and a delegate at large), the Ohio Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the National Home Infusion Association (currently Chair, Standards Committee).
