Pharmacy Professionalism in the Next Decade—Keys to Success

An annual event during ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting, the State Affiliates Volunteer Conference is an opportunity to focus on important issues to state affiliates and to network with fellow state affiliate leaders. This year, William (Bill) A. Zellmer, a long-time leader in health-system pharmacy, will speak about pharmacy professionalism in the future and the role of state affiliates and individual practitioners in successfully transforming the profession. Bill will present the following topics: a context for health-system pharmacy in this decade, anticipated driving forces in health-system pharmacy, imperatives for practice model reform, and what all of this means for state affiliate leaders. This interactive session with roundtable discussions will challenge participants to plan successfully to move health-system pharmacy in their state to the next level.
