Deborah J. Larison, PharmD, BCPS, CPh, is the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Emergency Medicine at Sarasota Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in Sarasota, FL. She is the Director of PGY-2 Emergency Medicine pharmacy Residency and Coordinator of the PGY-1 General Practice pharmacy Residency Program. Dr. Larison is a licensed consultant pharmacist in Florida and adjunct faculty at University of Florida – Gainesville and St. Petersburg, FL and Palm Beach Atlantic University – West Palm Beach, FL colleges of pharmacy and teaches Emergency Medicine, Toxicology, and Adult Internal Medicine for pharmacy students. She serves on several committees including Pharmacy and Therapeutics and Emergency Preparedness Committees as well as volunteers for the American Red Cross and the Medical Reserve Corp - Sarasota, FL.
Dr. Larison presents regularly at national conventions including: ASHP, ACCP, Joint Commission, ACEP, and others. She is Board Certified in Pharmacotherapy, General Practice Residency Trained with emphasis in Emergency Medicine and Toxicology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, and has a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from NOVA Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, FL as well as Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL.
